Region is the home to several amazing volcanoes and the resort town of Pucon, but is mainly supported by agriculture (logging and fruit) and is Chile's poorest region. La Araucania is the traditional home to Chile's indigenoues Mapuche people. The region's capital Temuco is an interesting agricultural city, while not really appealing to tourists, it is a good example of a rural Chilean city.
