Ascent of Black Hill, Central Victoria

Black Hill Reserve is a granite outcrop, about 10 km north of Kyneton on the Redesdale Rd,80 km north of Melbourne.

The reserve is primarily managed by the Friends of Black Hill. There has been significant revegetation over the past four years, focused mainly on the north-west corner which had been substantially cleared.

The main feature is the rugged Black Hill Range, an extinct volcano, with two main walking tracks leading to the Lookouts. ... (more)
