"The Sun Catcher"
Stockholm picture - Photo: Shahram Razavi --- "The Suncatcher" ("Solfångaren"), the graceful statue sculpted by the famous Swedish sculpturer Carl Milles, reaching out for the sun that almost never settles in this beautiful city during the summer months, and almost completely vanishes for much of the winter. During the darkest days of the winter, Stockholm sees no more than approximately six hours of daylight. But it makes up for that in the summer, when the sun settles close to midnight, only to take a short nap before rising shortly after again.
