My apologies for not responding earlier!
Hello William, I am terribly sorry for not responding earlier to your wonderful comments you had left under my Calgary presentations. This is my lesson to look back at my photos and revisit them to read comments. My apologies and I hope that you forgive me for my lack of sensitivity! Your comments are very meaningful to me, because you are a true Calgarian who was born here and knows and loves this city. You probably remember this city of a few hundred thousand and today we have almost one million. When I came to Calgary, the city population was almost approaching four hundred thousand. Your photos show how well the city has grown, developed and become very vibrant. Today we all know that this is the fastest growing city in Canada and from a business point of view this is the place to be! My kind and respectful regards, Rafal K.K.

Has Calgary ever gotten TALLER!
Lots of fun comparing the old and the new Calgary! I think the tower looks so impressive in the "69" picture standing so tall all alone. I remember seeing it for the first time when I was a kid and thinking it was the tallest building ever! Great pictures, Cowtown looks bright and clean with lots of green!

I particularly loved the "Strip Mall" photo! Hahahahahahahahaha! And yeah, I remember those amazing sunsets that came as the result of those terrible fires...:( Beauty can be truly terrible, eh? Love ya!

Beautiful pictures
Your town has certainly grown up beautifully Wil. Great pictures. I live in a small town, approx. 15,000 people. I once lived in Los Angeles and there are way too many people there.

Loved seeing the 1968 picture. That was the last time I was there as a boy. It sure has changed. I may never make it back. North Carolina, USA is a long ways away.

Beautiful! Sure this is Canada?
