At the end of 2007, I visited Vietnam for the second time and Southeast Asia for the fifth time. Vietnam has changed greatly since my first brief visit in 2001. A booming economy has transformed its cities and towns, reminding me very much of China, but on a smaller scale. I toured Vietnam from Hanoi in the north to Saigon in the south with an Overseas Adventure Travel group for two weeks, and then stayed on to travel independently with my friend and fellow worldisround artist Tim May in the Mekong Delta for ten more days.
