Hiking around Mt Cole, Western Victoria

Mt. Cole is an 828m volcanic flat-topped peak, in the south eastern section of the Mt Cole State Forest, 180 km west of Melbourne.

On January 21 2008 we completed an 8 km hike around the southern flank of the mountain, along the Ditchfields Rd, Frees Point Rd, and the South Boundary Track.

Unfortunately, most of this hike was in thick fog, and the views were limited. ... (more)
