This area is regularly visited by bird observers with quite a substantial list of species having been recorded. This reserve contains the endangered Buxton Gum (Euclayptus crenulata) and is protected by State and Commonwealth regulations. Whilst dogs on leads are permitted in the reserve, they are not encouraged.

Peaceful Yarra
Howdy Bob, The Yarra appears to be very slow running and peaceful in this area, a different kind of countryside to visit but is still very nice, pity the wetlands are dry, are there many birds in the area?
