We travelled from Wales, UK to Australia in March 2007 for a 5 week holiday & to get married half way through our trip in Coober Pedy, South Australia.

We had visited Coober Pedy twice before & fell in love with the fascinating Outback town known as the "Opal Capital Of The World."

After spending 2 weeks driving down to Coober Pedy from Darwin, N.T. we arrived in the dry & dusty town a few days before our wedding day

The venue for our wedding was the Old Timers Mine - an underground opal mine of the past. The day before our wedding some surprise visitors (my Mum & Dad - the bestest Mum & Dad in the world !!!) flew out from the UK & turned up.

The ceremony was held underground in the mine with about 30 guests - the reception was held in the Stuart Ranges Caravan Park - a BBQ & some cold beer.

AND OF COURSE MY WEDDING RING IS OPAL !!!!!!
