The Sassafras Creek Forest Trail is a 13 km walking route linking the towns of Sassafras and Emerald, in the Dandenong Ranges, 35 km east of the Melbourne CBD.
Following the Sassafras Creek, it goes through beautiful forest and small picnic grounds, passing tree ferns and tall timber, crossing the Creek several times over well-maintained footbridges.
