Great news, good news, as per article in Dinamani, the Supreme Court has accepted that, the bastard, SOBs Theedsakar are corrupt and there is total mismanagement, and has handed over the management to Government. The government has appointed one Mr Krishnakumar to manage the temple.
Handing over the Management might not end all the problems. If going by the Management of Thiruannamalai and Mathurai Meenachi Amman it may be "from the frying pan to the fire". The Govt Management depends on the individual. If he is inefficient or corrupt again god save Chidamparam.
I was in Chidamparam in Jan 2009, and took photograph to expose bad management, which i hope to send it to Mr Krishnakumar
CHIDAMPARAM AS AT 2008.
I wrote about Chidambaram temple first time in 1981. In that article I predicted that the so called priest at the temple are nothing but thugs, criminals prone to all habits, drinking womanizing , extortion of money from foreigners and robbing of the temple.
Again in 2002 I mentioned that these criminals have ruined the temple beyond redemption. Refer http://www.worldisround.com/articles/10046/ No one took any notice.
In 2008 I saw in SUN TV , the same thugs assaulting the police, and police entering the temple beating the bastards ( forgive my language as this is the correct adjective)and throwing them outside the temple. Next day I saw these criminals fighting with the public.
When are these SOBs going to be thrown out of Temple? Who is going to act and when?
Or are people from Chidambaram in particular and general public prepared to accept the fact the Chidambaram is lost for ever. Below are some of the comments to my article
Difference in years while coming across our volunteers comments, i like to share one thing, the world is growing like yesterday belief are not having much of value today, in this case, it is our cultural property, we have lot of facilities to record our todays life but we have very few things only to remember and reveal how gloriously, painfully our history was made, please respect our history atleast when entered in it Ramesh Kumar, April 15, 2007
Hello sir Since i am at chidambaram now, i can bring someinformation to your notice. Now things are going some what different. Our chidambaram temple's renovation works are in progress. Northside kopuram kumbapshisakam has completed one moth before. Bhaba Palaniappan, November 5, 2005
These problems mentioned in your article is not only faced by chitambaram temple. Almost all over tamilnadu temples and treasures are getting spoiled by these so called priests. It can be solved only by creating an awareness among public about what is prayer? and how prayer can be completed without involving money. Karthikeyen D, October 16, 2005
thank u siva, my native place is chidambaram but i have come to know about it much only through ur article. Thanks for ur information.the temple is not mainted properly is only because the people there dont realise the importance of the temple.lets pray to god almighty to save it for our future generations.thank u revathy krishna murthy, September 26, 2004
Hey our tamilnadu Government,do anything for us,they didn't belive that we are all Humanbeings. They will not do anything for us.When there is any Election time they will beg us.that should not be maintained by them.So plz that area's people have to do their best. Venkatraman, March 11, 2004
I lived in chidambaram since my childhood. The temple north entrance is so filthy, which is literally locals toilet. During nights, some parts of the temple premises been used for prostitution. Even the gold coating from the pillars of various shrines has been scraped out. Only god can save this temple from those culprits. Suresh Lakshmanan, December 30, 2003
I think the Tamilnadu government has most of the responsibility to maintain and keep the temples as a safe to visit. I see these days the chiefminister Ms. Jeyalalitha posing herself for the TV at almost every occasions claiming that she is the saviour for the public. Why doesn't she then bother about things like this. Ganesh Ramanathan, November 18, 2003
Now the report about Chidambaram priests (Dikshithars) are more on the lines of their bad discriminating behavior, craving for money and earning by illegitimate ways. Most of them are prone to bad habits like drinking alcohol, Non Veg foods and tobacco chewing (even in the temple premises), womanizing and above all they are all affiliated to the local political parties to protect themselves. RamPrasad, October 13, 2003
Siva, I learnt a lot about Chidambaram temple after reading your article and also I pray to the almighty to take care of this temple. Thanks for letting us know about the Chidambara Rakasiyam. Thanks and may God take care of everything. Madhavan PB, April 14,Del 2003
Siva, you have written an excellent article on Chidambaram. It is very sad to hear about the incidents that happen outside the temple. The temple authorities should take sterner actions against the culprits who disrupt the peace around the temple.People should be educated about the value of temple worship, the history behind the temple and most importantly human values should be introduced in schools.Spiritual education is very important and should be introduced in the main curriculam. There is so much money spent on making movies where violence is portrayed. The young ones assume they should follow what the villain has done and it is ''cool to be nasty''. yoga, April 5, 2002
