Photos from the XI region of Chile - the lesser travelled and less accessible of the two Patagonian regions. Visit was to the isolated island of Melinka south of Chiloe, a beautiful island in the gulf of Corcovado famous for whales, dolphins and penguins and surrounded by sea and volcanoes. Melinka itself has about 1000 inhabitants and is six hours ferry from the nearest Chilean city, making it one of the most isolated places in the country. We were very luck with the weather!
