The greatest monument of the ancient Rome was originally known as Flavian Amphitheatre, due to the form of the construction as an amphitheatre & also bcos it was built by the emperors of the Flavian Dynasty - Vespasian, Titus & Domitian. There was an inaugural 100-day celebration to celebrate its opening in 72A.D., during which many gladiators & > 5000 wild beasts were killed.
