Oxford is primarily a university town and boasts of some of the best universities in the world. A few colleges have a long and proud history and have been in existence for about 800 years. Being an university town, Oxford has a very cosmopolitan crowd.

The town as such is fairly small and one can easily see the town on foot. The main buildings in the city include the Radcliffe camera, the Sheldonian theatre, the bridge of Sighs, the university church of St. Mary, the All souls college to name a few.

For a small fee, one can climb to the top of the church of St. Mary and get lovely aerial views of the town. This being the highest point, the views are best from up here. The Carfax tower in the heart of town also offers aerial views of the city.
