while passing through this town on our way to Thanjavur. We all jumped out of the bus & joined in, much to the delight of the locals ;o) I think this was Chidambaram, about 60kms south of Puducherry. It is the location of the famous Lord Natraja’s (dancing Shiva) Temple in a 55 acre complex. We were running behind, so we didn't have time to visit there, as scheduled, but if you're in the area, you may not want to miss it.
