We had stopped in this small village for our mid-morning 'chai' (tea) break. Chai is strong tea with lots of sugar & milk (condensed milk is often used). ‘Chai masala’ is the aromatic spiced version & is flavored with local spices such as cinnamon, clove, cardamom, & ginger. Here we have coffee breaks, in India they have chai breaks.
