Langkawi is an extreemly beautiful Island in the Andaman Sea in the South East Asia, west of Malaysia and a part of an archipelago of 99 Islands. It is a part of Kedal state of Malaysia. The name has 2 possible sources one that 'Helang' meaning in Malay an Eagle and 'Kawi' in Sanskrit meaning Marble (which exists plenty on the Island) and the second explanatoion is that 'Langa' meaning Beauty and 'Wi' meaninig Innumerable, both translated in Sanskrit.
