Think Hyderabad and the first thing that comes to mind is the charming Charminar. This magnificent monument built in 1591 by Quli Qutub Shah is believed to be the first monument in Hyderabad around which the city evolved.

Charminar (meaning 4 minars) is an intricately carved monment with each minar soaring to a modest height of about 50 metres. It is a pleasure to look at in the day and more so at night when it is showered with lights.
