Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. It is part of Shekhawati region which is famous for its old havelis (mansions) decorated with latticework and frescoes.
I visited Mandawa as my last stop in Rajasthan before returning to Delhi. Though the place is very popular with foreign tourists, I found it extremely dirty and unhygienic with backed up open drains all over the town and also in my hotel (Hotel Heritage Mandawa) bathroom on second floor.
