Hahndorf (Pop. 1,700) lies approximately 20 miles east from Adelaide up in the hills and is close to many wineries. I went during the autumn time when the trees were changing.

This German community is named after Dirk Hahn who captained the ship, The Zebra, back in 1838 during the voyage from Hamburg to South Australia carrying Lutheran migrants from Prussia.
