… from the other end of Rue Clemenceau. In case you don’t recognize the name, Georges Clemenceau (“The Tiger”) was one of the most important Frenchmen of the late 19th / early 20th centuries. He was a doctor, school teacher, journalist, mayor, senator, Minister of War (WWI), and Premier of France. He was instrumental in having Alscace-Lorraine returned to France at the Paris Peace Conference.
