<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> &#34;Rock Fort Temple&#34;<br> Sightseeing in Tamil Nadu picture - View from the entrance. The huge rock outcrop, which towers over the city &#38; dominates the landscape, is 83m high &#38; is the only outcrop in the otherwise flat land of the city. They claim the rock is older than the rocks of Greenland &#38; the Himalayas. There are 3 temples here -the Manikka Vinayaka temple at base of the rock (you can barely see the crown of the temple over the entrance), the Uchhi Pillayar temple at the top, &#38; the Taayumaanava temple part way up (you can see some of the pillars from its 100-pillared hall). The inscriptions at the top date back to 3rd century B.C. Although the surrounding walls of the fort are now in ruins, the main guard gate is still intact. Note the sheer abruptness of the rock. </div></nolayer></noembed>
