located half way up the rock can be reached by the same flight of steps that leads to the temple at the summit. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it has a 100-pillared hall and a Vimana covered with gold & is the most prominent of all three temples. The temple’s shrine houses Kangaala Moorthy, one of the 64 manifestations of Lord Shiva. Note the water tank & the church on the left, with St Joseph's college buildings to the right of the church. The water tank & pavilion are used during the Float Festival of the temples.
