The city provides free shuttle bus service from Avenue de Verdun in front of the marina to and from the bus-stop on the highway closest to the Fort. From there it’s about a ¾ kilometer (half mile) walk past the soccer field, and up the hill to finally get there. That soccer field, by the way, was where the first French championship game was held. I’ll tell you about the military monument later.
