I live in Lomita, in the "South Bay" of Los Angeles, near the LA Harbor. I was dropping my kid off to sell Girl Scout Cookies in late March 2008 and had two hours to kill. It was an incredibly windy day, especially for the South Bay where we rarely get a breeze over 10 miles an hour. It was probably blowing close to 40mph.
