Whyalla (on the northeast coast of the Eyre Peninsula) is home to the Whyalla which is one of two remaining WWII Corvette minesweepers in existence. The guided tour was interesting and took you into the bowels of the ship. Whyalla is also home to a relatively decent maritime museum specialising in supertankers and oil rigs. There is also a large HO gauge model railway although it is not very well detailed.
