In conjunction with Labour day, Taiping Orchid Society (TOS)organized a one day monthly show on 1st. May 2008. Orchid society members from other states gathered at the Taiping Lake Garden's to display their orchid collection and catch up with friends from other states. As usual, FOMOS members from Penang were there as well to give their support.
