Walks in the Sherbrooke Forest

An interesting circuit walk in the Sherbrooke Forest, Dandenong Ranges National Park, 40 km east of the Melbourne CBD, is along the Lipscombe Break, Coles Ridge Rd, and Pole Plot Track.

This 2 km hike starts and ends at the Lipscombe Break access gate, opposite the Micawber Tavern, on the Belgrave-Monbulk Rd.

The walk route ascends from 265m to a maximum of 370m, and passes through interesting tall timber, fern gullies, and the disused "Pole Plot" farm.

I walked this roite on May 7, 2008.
