While she was talking to the audience, she sounded exactly like your average 13-year-old: a little shy, a little self-conscious, and a little scared. As soon as she opened her mouth to sing, all that disppeared and she suddenly became very mature and self-confident.

For those of us old enough to remember, she reminds me a lot of Brenda Lee when she first began her career.
