The family that owned it, the Cuevas, were friends and when the senior Cuevas retired, the family decided to close it. They still own the building but, in the past five years, the Vega's have opened their own restaurant here. It still serves excellent food in a great atmosphere, even if it is more upscale and pricey then was Los Amigos .

The building is an old spanish-style home with a wonderful rear patio.
