Events in San Francisco picture - Even a cable car entered the 'race'. Since the run began 3 hours ago, almost all the runners had finished. So the fun for all these folks is merely in participating. The Bay to Breakers is certainly a success, for it's obvious it does indeed lift the spirits of San Franciscans.
