<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> St Philomena Cathedral (sp)<br> Sightseeing in Karnataka picture - which was completed in 1941 &#38; replaced a smaller church on the same spot, is one of the largest cathedrals in South Asia. The parish, however, dates back to the early 1800s making it one of the oldest parishes in India. The new cruciform shaped Gothic church, with its two awesome spires (175 ft tall) was designed by a Frenchman named Daly &#38; is reminiscent of a Cologne Germany cathedral &#38; also St. Patrick&#39;s Church in New York. </div></nolayer></noembed>
