This attractive hall, aka the Town Hall, was constructed in 1884 in memory of the first Dewan of Mysore state. It initially housed the city improvement trust board & city municipal offices. It is now used as a civic venue for various cultural activities. Note the pediment with an intricately carved figurine of goddess Laxmi with elephants on both sides, & the 4 pairs of Corinthian columns.
