These are the pictures from our backpacking tour to Myanmar in May 2008. We had to wait for two days in Bangkok to get one of the first flights to Yangon, due to the cyclone hitting the South of Myanmar the day before. A journey against all odds, yes, but we managed to get to Yangon and from there got a bus to Mandalay, travelled on to the World Cultural Heritage Site of Bagan, visited Mt Popa, and went back to Yangon afterwards.
