is crowned by an arching dome 52 feet in diameter which is colored with lapis lazuli representing a blue night-sky studded with golden stars. The dome is supported by an annular arch & 16 fluted Corinthian columns. Note that the mahogany trimmed pews have wicker seats, which would make them cooler? [Again, please forgive the speckled shot for this & other church interiors in this journal... it was quite dark in the churches & the photos had to be lightened, a lot.]
