My wife & I went hiking at the Harrison Hills Park on Memorial Day, May 26, 2008. The park, which sits off of Freeport Road in Natrona Heights, overlooks the Allegheny River as it flows south towards the confluence of the three rivers in Pittsburgh. I had heard that the park is an outstanding location to view wildlife and had spectacular views, but what I saw greatly exceeded my expectations.
