Fremont Street is the second most famous street in Las Vegas (after The Strip). Located Downtown, the abundance of neon signs have affectionately given it the nickname "Glitter Gulch."

It was closed to vehicular traffic in 1994 to make way for the $70-million Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian mall with a canopy that displays a light show.
