Harrietville, 350 km from Melbourne, is a small settlement at the foot of the Alps, in NE Victoria, and was the centre of goldmining activity from the mid 1800s.

We visited Harrietville on June 10, 2008, exploring the Pioneer Park. We also did River Walk alongside the Ovens River on a former tramway embankment.
