which was completed in 1999, is located less than half a kilometer south of Teluk Bahang overlooking the Butterfly Farm. Since most of Penang Island's water comes from the mainland (Sungai Muda in Kedah), this dam, as well as the other dams & reservoirs on the island plus one in the mainland portion of the state, are all very precious.
