The brown creatures seen in this shot are marmots. We saw quite a few of them near Tsomoriri. The fragile biosphere of Ladakh can throw quite a few surprises. I spotted marmots, golden eagles, vultures, Himalayan thars and kiangs-the Tibetian wild ass.
