Our 2 weeks in Crete were spent with the family in the lovely Villa Raphael, a restored 100 year old villa in the village of Plaka. The village had all the ammenities we needed - excellent tavernas and mini-markets for supplies and was a 20 minute walk down hill to the small resort of Almyrida and about half an hour drive from Chania airport.
