The Forest, in the Dandenong Ranges National Park, is 40 km east of the Melbourne CBD. On June 30 2008, a cold and rainy day, I did a 4 km circuit hike starting at the Sherbrooke Picnic Ground. This took me along the Sherbrooke Track, O'Donohue's Track, past the Falls, then along Hackett's Track, Monument Track, and Lloyd's Track.
