Launched in 1963, Bluenose II belongs to the Province of Nova Scotia, and is operated by the Lunenburg Marine Museum Society. In addition to both short and long pleasure cruises, it “shows the flag” at Tall Ship events around the world, representing Canada and Nova Scotia. Among other interesting facts not mentioned here, it was built in the shipyard that has also built numerous other well-known sailing ships and replicas, including the one of HMS Bounty that was used in the Brando film “Mutiny on the Bounty”.
