This miniature chateau (a.k.a. the “Water Castle”) contained coal-powered steam generators intended to electrify the entire complex. It is connected to the main island by a tasteful stone bridge. The tower once sported an illuminated clock for the edification of river traffic, and silver chimes that could be heard for miles.
