Bishnupur, a small district town situated 200KM from Calcutta. Once it was a thriving capital of the Mallabhum kingdom, a Hindu dynasty of Bengal.

The king of the dynasty accepted the baishnav dharma and they constructed large number of terracotta temples. This article feature some of those temples.
