Note the Gothic-arched windows, the dormer over the organ loft, & the buttresses on the sides. With much volunteer labor, over 600 loads of prairie stone were hauled as well as over 300 loads of sand. The basement, which had a 12 foot clearance, was the church hall with stage plus a kindergarten, was dug by volunteers.
