Yep, travellin’ on them there hot dusty roads could sure make a man thirsty all right! This tavern was built in 1804 by Michael Cook, a loyalist of German descent, at more or less the mid-point between Kingston and Montreal. Behind the tavern was a large shed which could shelter the travellers’ horses.
