While many of the painters whose work we saw were names unknown to both of us, it had helped that our vessel was called the MS Ilya Repin. Doing a bit of research on the internet prior to our departure to Russia, I had discovered that Repin was a highly esteemed Russion painter and so, seeing some of his work, of course aroused our interest.
