I went in the August/September 1999 with my girlfriend (now my wife). we made the classic tour of Burma: Yangoon-Taungo-Kalaw-Inle Lake-Taunggy-Mandalay-Bagan-Mount Popa-Pyay-Yangoon. We knew other 4 Italians in the Yangoon's airport and all togeather we rented a minivan with a driver (we must changed the driver after 10 days cause he was every day drunk and he "sleeped" every night smoking opium!).

Hi Paolo,
That's a very informative factoid! I always thought the "road to Mandalay" is literally a road. BTW, that baby on the boat is cute. When did you go to Burma?
