with the leaning bell tower behind it. This massive medieval cathedral (Duomo), in the distinctive Pisan Romanesque architectural style, is dedicated to St. Mary of the Assumption. The mosaics in the interior apparently show a strong Byzantine influence, while the pointed arches indicate Muslim influences.
