The highly visited, L-shaped Piazza della Signoria , is one of Italy's most beautiful squares, & is today a virtual sculpture gallery. The square was the core of pre-Renaissance Florence & the center of secular life in the days of the Medicis. It still maintains its reputation as the political hub of the city.
